Unbelievable Brilliance and Protection...

System X Ceramic Paint Sealant represents a bold new evolution in paint protection products.

Exhibiting an extremely durable color enhancing gloss which protects exterior surfaces including paint, glass, metal, stainless steel, wheels, gel coat, and plastic composites.

System X is a semi-permanent coating that actually becomes the functional surface of your vehicle's paintwork. By creating an inseparable bond on a molecular level with your paintwork you get a coating that cannot be washed off like a wax or sealant.

System X acts as a second layer of clear coat which provides increased protection against the elements.

This new clear coating is glossier, chemical resistant, and harder than the original clear coat. Providing incredible protection against minor scratches, swirl marks, acid rain, bird droppings, and harmful UV rays. Easy hand application only takes 15 - 20 minutes.

System X is not a typical wax or sealant which only forms a sacrificial shield of protection, instead it bonds into your paintwork creating a semi-permanent glossy shell over the surface. This shell provides a slick and easy to clean barrier against the elements. This coating creates a surface that repels water and prevents the adherence of contaminants. Regular washing is the only maintenance needed to keep your vehicle looking fantastic. The coating can even be waxed or sealed over with your favorite product to intensify gloss.

System X paint protection can be applied to the entire exterior of your vehicle, except rubber and soft plastic. System X also performs exceptionally well on alloy wheels and sunroofs. System X Ceramic Coating bonds into the paintwork pores, forming an extremely durable crystal clear ceramic finish. This provides genuine long-term protection. Tests conducted have shown System X Resin Coating to be much more resilient to solvents, weathering, and general wear and tear.

As you can see demonstrated in the System X videos, System X demonstrates resistance to almost anything.

The other good news is that the System has repeatedly demonstrated a capacity to keep vehicles looking cleaner for longer through its hydro-repellant nature.

What if you need to paint or touchup your paintwork? No problem. Since System X is only a couple microns thick you can polish or compound the coating off before completing these tasks.

System X is produced and packaged to minimize environmental damage, and comply with VOC Standards set by California CARB and The Canadian Government.

It's Time to Change the Way You Think About Surface Protection

A New Cornerstone in Detailing...

Over the last few decades paint protection technology has come a long way. The innovations in the market can be grouped into three major leaps:

Generation 1

During the last half century car waxes have ruled the market. Ranging from naturally occurring waxes like carnauba to man-made synthetic waxes. While imparting gloss and a sacrificial barrier of protection their effect is short lived. Environmental hazards quickly break down and remove traditional waxes leaving paintwork exposed to damage.

Generation 2

In the last 20 years paint sealants were introduced to the world of paint protection. Typically these sealants are derived from amino functional fluids, in the form of polymers. They give a good initial shine which can last 6 months, sometimes longer. The thin protective coating of this type of product is ineffective when cleaners containing solvents or the corrosive natural chemicals such as those found in birdlime and tree sap contact the surface.

Generation 3

System X - A brand new innovation in paint protection. The no-paste, no-wax formula is specially designed to work on all the latest paint finishes and varnishes. The active ceramic resin binds with complex polymers to provide a thickness and hardness unachievable until now. System X Resin can be used on all exterior paint surfaces including alloys. By bonding into the surface pores and forming an extremely durable semi-permanent coating System X provides genuine long-term protection which requires no maintenance other than washing.

Is Wet Glaze 2.0 the exact same as the original?

No, while the base formula is the same it has been reformulated to achieve more wetness, gloss, and depth.

Why did you change from the original Danase Wet Glaze?

Originally Bob of Danase had been working on a new version of Danase Wet Glaze but never finished, so we acquired the base formula from Bob and began the process of finishing it. While doing this we knew that Danase Wet Glaze (DWG) had a strong following and was the leader among glazes in the industry. We also know that other glazes available today have taken a step forward with improvements so we felt it was best to continue with the improved version to stay ahead of the game and put our best foot forward to distinguish Wet Glaze 2.0 among other glazes.

Can you apply Wet Glaze 2.0 the same?

Yes! It can be applied by hand or machine the same as the original. The new version is slightly thicker so I recommend 2 nickel size drops on your machine pad and 2 dime size drops on your hand applicator. Once the product begins to spread it will keep spreading and you can actually cover more area than the original. Wet glaze can be layered right away and gets better with multiple applications!

Removal is just as easy! Wet Glaze can be applied and instantly removed or you can do the entire vehicle and then remove. During testing we applied Wet Glaze and let it sit for 8 hours before removal and it came off just as easy as it did during instant removal. Wet Glaze is very easy to apply and remove! Anyone can use this glaze with great results.

How is the look compared to the original?

The original brightened paint while leaving a wet glossy look, the improved version slightly darkens paint and has increased wetness, gloss, and depth. The amount of depth and wetness will blow you away compared to the original!

Is it the same size bottle?

Yes, the 16oz bottles are available and 32oz and gallon sizes may be available in the future.

Is it still purple with a grape scent?

The color is still purple although slightly darker. The scent has changed to a coconut scent. This goes back to distinguishing Wet glaze among other glazes.

What is a glaze used for?

A glaze such as Wet Glaze 2.0 is commonly used for appearance purposes. While most glazes do fill or hide swirls and other minor imperfections in paint the main job of a glaze is to boost the gloss and give a quick just detailed look, more so than a quick detailer or spray wax. When used after all imperfections are removed Wet Glaze 2.0 will add additional gloss. When used as a quick gloss booster it will add gloss and mask minor imperfections.

Will Wet Glaze 2.0 hide major swirls?

Wet Glaze 2.0 will hide or *fill* minor imperfections by hand. Using a soft foam pad and dual action polisher will hide more swirls and blemishes due to the high speed random orbital action of the machine which your hand cannot duplicate. We do not recommend hiding swirls but in cases where paint is thin and the use of abrasive products are not an option Wet Glaze 2.0 can help give a polished wet look without being abrasive and removing paint.

Should I apply by hand or machine?

Applying by hand is fine and when doing this we recommend at least 2 applications to get the most out of the product. Application by machine will give better results with just one application and we recommend a soft finishing/waxing pad at speed setting 3 - 4 via dual action polisher. Wet Glaze 2.0 can be applied via rotary polisher, for this we recommend a low speed of 1000 rpm's or lower.

In what order should I apply Wet Glaze 2.0?

To get the most out of Wet Glaze 2.0 you should apply after all polishing has been done and before any wax or sealant is applied. Applying a wax or sealant on top of Wet Glaze 2.0 will *lock it in* so it will last as long as the protection layer you have on top of it. Wet Glaze 2.0 is very similar to most sealants available today only it does not have the same protective abilities as a dedicated sealant. While Wet Glaze does offer minor protection it is not recommended as a final top layer of protection, just looks when applied as a top coat.

Wet Glaze 2.0 plays very well with all acrylic sealants and even carnauba waxes and other sealants. Wet Glaze 2.0 can be applied in any order you wish.

The most common layering methods are....

1. Wet Glaze
2. Sealant
3. Wax

1. Wet glaze
2. Sealant
3. Wet Glaze

1. Wet Glaze
2. Wax
3. Wet Glaze

1. Wet Glaze
2. Sealant
3. Wax
4. Wet Glaze

Wet Glaze can be layered in any combination but we do recommend letting your sealant or wax cure according to the manufactures recommendation before applying Wet Glaze 2.0 on top. Testing showed that as a topper Wet Glaze will last a solid month with weekly washings. Testing was done in mild winter conditions (snow and a few warm days) and results may vary by location and weather condition.

How is Wet Glaze 2.0 different than oil based and other Glazes?

Wet Glaze 2.0 is much different than the more traditional oil based glazes mainly due to the polymers used plus the look is different. Most oil based glazes offer instant shine and filling but are short lived and cannot be layered or play nice with sealants in the same ways that Wet Glaze 2.0 can. Like oil based glazes Wet Glaze 2.0 can be used as a topper for those car show days! We do believe that oil based glazes have a place in the detailing industry and we offer them on our main website.

While there are other polymer glazes out there they are not the same due to the *monomers* that create the *polymer* in the product. If a person pays close enough attention to most glazes on the market today it's not hard to see the similarities in them. While formulating Wet Glaze 2.0 we knew that in order to rise above we had to start with the base of the original formula and build from there. No shortcuts, no relabels, no large manufacturing plant, just quality built from a real base formula. You will not find another glaze like it.

How else can wet Glaze 2.0 be used?

Wet Glaze 2.0 can also be used in a variety of different ways. During testing Wet Glaze 2.0 was mixed with liquid waxes and sealants and did not seem to affect durability while enhancing the look. Only a small amount of wet Glaze 2.0 was mixed in. Also a small amount of Wet Glaze 2.0 was mixed in with final polishes adding to the look and greatly increasing gloss and depth. This is not recommended due to the filling ability of Wet Glaze 2.0 if perfection is your goal. These are just some of the tests we did while Wet Glaze 2.0 was being developed. Wet Glaze 2.0 is also safe to use on glass surfaces.
Good morning! My name is Don, Founder of the international company Migliore Luxury Car Care. I am here to entertain any questions you may have regarding our line. I look forward to your questions and comments!

Hi Don! Hopefully people will join in. So one of my questions is the best application of Migliore waxes? I've had good success with them.

Sure, not a problem Dave. Migliore can be applied in the sun or shade. Application itself is a breeze, I receive the most question regarding removal. The Migliore waxes are not hard to remove if applied correctly in very thin layers. Most may think it is difficult as it's different from the norm, which it certainly is. I like to apply the wax via a foam applicator and let the product sit for 20 minutes while I touch up other area of the vehicle. Upon removal, rotate your microfiber every 3x3 ft square. This will prevent wax from building up and essentially pushing the wax around the paint. Next, if you find have applied too much wax, you can mist with our Endurance Spray QD to remove any excess.

I've removed original blend after a minute and also after roughly 30 minutes with no issues. The look of original blend is very unique. Does endurance spray have any protective abilities?

Thanks, Dave. Endurance Spray does not have any serious protective ability. Endurance Spray is generally used for rejuvenation of a recently washed auto and adding a little extra pop.

It works very well over all carnaubas in my experience. Should I have seen a decrease in durability when I removed the Original Blend after just one minute? I actually applied a second coat a week later so I never noticed. Durability was good at 2 months in high heat conditions which wreaks havic on wax durability.

No, you should not have seen a decrease in durability. The waxes technically never haze, so it's a matter of personal preference. We have seen and have had customers report 3, to 3+ months worth of durability. This is quite incredible, as you know, for a carnauba. I attest this to the very unique formula. After your first use, you'll realize there is nothing else like Migliore on the market today.

When I removed it after one minute and 30 minutes it removed just the same and easy too. What is the major differences between your waxes? They all seem to offer something different.

Original and Frutta offer around 32% carnauba and are considered our entry level product. Migliore was founded with just one product, our Original blend, which has snowballed into what you see today. Primo and Competizione have approximately 46% and 48% carnauba respectively. At this level you the difference in carnauba will not make much of a difference. The difference comes in the complete blend and oils used.

That's a pretty high carnauba content! I haven't tried Primo or Competizione......yet. I remember an email regarding new products, what are they? I think I remember an APC and a few other things.

We have three new products: Naturale Shampoo, Citro Shampoo, and Forza Clean. These are two shampoos and an APC respectively.

Two shampoos! Does one contain wax or a protective agent?

Naturale Shampoo is all natural as its name implies. I love this shampoo, it's incredibly sudsy and offers a great barrier between the paint when washing. Citro is a strip wash, it's very low viscosity and made for foaming.

Sounds like you have the shampoos covered, it's good to have multiple shampoos for different tasks. I remember you telling me that each product is hand poured. To me that means very good quality control and that you ensure every bottle sent out is as it should be.

Yes, I agree. Our strategy has always been to always be small enough to have a one on one relationship with our customers. We do not desire to be in any big box or department stores.

Migliore seems to have really taken off across the pond, what are some of your future plans with the company and new products?

Yes, definitely. Migliore's main market is in Europe. Over the last year sales have skyrocketed overseas. In the next 6 months we plan on offering a new pre-wax cleaner and an ultra luxury numbered wax.

WOW! Im looking forward to the new wax for sure. A pre wax cleaner would be excellent as well. Have you ever entertained the idea of offering polishes?

We have thought about it, but decided not to go down that path. There are already so many great polishes on the market.

Yes and it seems as though you are making your mark in the LSP market. Thanks for stopping by Don! I appreciate it!!!

I don't know about you but I have been anxiously awaiting this new product based on reviews I have been reading. Not only can it be used as a waterless wash, but also a rinseless! The best part is that it also comes in concentrate form so a little goes a long way. It's polycharged and in concentrate form just one ounce makes 3 gallons of rinseless wash. That's an insane amount of washing with one bottle! Ours will be in soon.
They all vary by color, pad design, and level of aggressiveness but it's easy to assume that every color is the same throughout the different manufactures. You get on the computer and do a quick search for detailing supplies which leads you to a plethora of online retailers and detailing forums, that's where it begins.......

It is easy to get caught up in all the hype and marketing these days which often times leaves the newbie with more questions then answers so joining a detailing forum is usually the first thing most newbies do so they can ask questions and get user reviews on detailing supplies. Online forums can be a wealth of information and a place where you can find other newbies, weekend warriors, and even top notch professionals who post the details they do and even techniques.

Common Forum Frustrations

One of the biggest things that frustrates newbies the most when they see spectacular results from a pro detail, go out and buy the products that pro used, and get different results. Remember, these guys do this everyday so don't slam your head in the door on the first try. Learn from your mistakes and realize that there are many different reasons for the products and techniques used depending on the task at hand. Most pros have special techniques that they use and sharing all of them isn't the best business practice.

Don't be afraid to use the forum search function and also ask questions, while there is a lot of good info saved in forums sometimes you may have a question that is unique to your specific vehicle or concern. Sure you might get flamed for asking sometimes but hey, you will never know if you don't ask right?

Be aware that there is a thing called "The Flavor Of The Month" where a product or similar will be hailed as the best thing since sliced bread only to be forgotten by the next flavor of the month. Try not to get caught up in hype but do pay attention to consistency in use from a wide variety of people. Good products that stand the test of time will often be easy to spot because they will be talked about and used without the hype.

Product reviews can be helpful especially when done by a unbiased reviewer simply documenting their findings based out of curiosity. Also learn more about the vehicle you are working on, know what to expect from your car by learning things like the harness or softness of your paint, is it clear coat or single stage paint? This really helps when making a plan of attack for that anticipated detailing day.

Purchasing Online

Be an informed consumer, now that you have done a ton of reading and asking questions it's time to pull the trigger on the goodies! Now that you have done some homework you are getting into the realm of the informed consumer but still might have questions so naturally you want to ask your potential retailer. If you have any doubts about the products in your cart or would simply like an explanation as to how a product works always email or call. You don't want to spend your hard earned cash on something you are not sure of.

There are a ton of retailers out there and they are all fighting to earn your business so don't waste time on a company who is unwilling to return an email or say "read the product description" for details. All retailers are not created equal! Before opening my own online store I ordered from many different retailers with varying experiences.

There are so many products out there it will make your head spin! Pay attention, know that a good All Purpose Cleaner will do the job of 5 different products alone saving you money in the long run, you can always try the "specific" products later. An honest retailer will tell you this instead of selling you a case of head rest cleaner (if there is such a thing lol).

You Are On Your Way.......

Hopefully you now have a plan of attack since getting bit by the detailing bug and can go out there and hold your own in the wide world of detailing. Remember, you don't have to turn out a pro detail the first time around, be patient and educate yourself because in the long run it will only save you time and money.

I hope you find this info helpful on your quest for bling!

The Detail Shoppehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03874568172745899506noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-115929990651035517.post-12803339954187329542009-11-08T13:20:00.000-08:002009-11-08T15:14:52.097-08:00The Basics Of Winter Care

Well winter is just around the bend and as most of us know it means major road grime and nasty salt on your vehicles exterior and even your interior. Winter prep is a must especially if you live in an area where snow is the norm. While most of us have windshields the guy in the picture looks like he is going to have one hell of a winter!

One of the most common questions enthusiasts often ask is "what should I use to protect my vehicle through winter?" I think a better question is "how do I protect my vehicle through winter". With winter prep most enthusiasts often do one final polishing before adding their final layer of winter protection.

Some of the basics include:

A long lasting wax or paint sealant

Working windshield wipers and water repellent

Interior protection such as rubber floor mats

Protecting your wheels

Protecting rubber and other components under the hood

The use of spray waxes/sealants really help during the winter months to boost protection, plus they are easy to use and can be applied while drying. Most spray waxes can be applied to your exterior glass and trim without the worry of staining trim. Generally paint sealants offer lasting protection over a carnauba wax but there are exceptions to this with wax products such as collinite. You may also choose to "top" your sealant with a wax. Multiple layers of a product can be affective to a point so choosing a long lasting product to begin with is crucial if you are going to stay protected through winter.

We all know that an old pair of windshield wipers really does not do much of anything except make your visibility a nightmare so changing your wipers is a good thing. There are lots of water repellent products on the market for glass today with varying results but I have found that a simple spray wax can work wonders for glass by beading water away as it would on paint. The technology available today is increasing the longevity of spray waxes/sealants.

Protecting your vehicles interior is just as important as protecting the exterior! After all, you wouldn't want a show vehicle on the outside and an old beater on the inside right? Not all floor mats are equal, some look good while others perform good. I really like and recommend rubber floor mats with a slightly raised surface to catch debris and they will actually hold water which is excellent for catching all that melting snow from your shoes.

Interior protection can come in many forms such as floor mats, plastic covers, interior fabric guards, UV resistant dressings, leather cleaners and protectants, and the list goes on! Seat covers can be found almost anywhere and come in many styles to fit your needs. Plastic seat covers are good but you don't want your backseat to look like your grandmas couch right? One product I highly recommend is Ultima Interior Guard Plus as it protects just about every surface in your vehicles interior.

Most of us in harsh winter area's change our wheels and tires for snow and ice but some of us don't. I personally use my stock wheels for winter driving but I want to keep them looking nice for the resale! There are a variety of wheels out there ranging from painted to chromed, and there is also a way to protect each of these wheels with products that are made for your specific wheel type. Generally speaking you can use a wide range of protection products on many different wheels. Waxing wheels or using a paint sealant is a great way to keep them protected through winter plus this is where our good friend Mr spray wax comes in again.

You wouldn't think that protecting the hoses and plastic etc under the hood would be important but it is! Road salts and grime can get under the hood and reek havoc on your hoses and plastics. This is where a good exterior dressing can keep things from drying out or becoming stained or faded. The last thing you need in a snow storm is a dried out and blown coolant hose.

These are just some basic guidelines to winter protection and there will be more articles dealing with more specific things such as winter washing, etc. Comments and additions to this are welcome! Thanks for reading!

The Detail Shoppehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03874568172745899506noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-115929990651035517.post-63804380159301541992009-11-07T23:59:00.000-08:002009-11-08T00:05:09.805-08:00New TDS Blog!New TDS blog will be full of usefull info for the detailing enthusiast and detailing related articles.
